10 things we have learned in 10 years of JUVELAN

1. if you have an If you have an idea, implement it!

Everything begins with a first idea. Go after it, follow your gut feeling and do everything in your power, what is in your power to make your dream come true. Even not every idea turns into something great: Nothing is worse than the feeling that you haven't at least tried.

2. do not worry your head

This advice applies to myself first and foremost. I usually think too much and and get in my own way. Looking ahead is good. But it really sense to worry about a problem in the future when you haven't even if you haven't even taken the first step.

3. be patient

Hard work will pay off, but it won't happen overnight. That's why it's important to pause from time to time and realize what you have already achieved. you have already achieved. Good things take time - and Rome wasn't built in a day. built in a day.

4. invest in your company and in yourself

If you are a full professional in business management, congratulations - then you can safely skip this point. you can skip this point. But honestly, who among us is? already? That's why it's essential for the growth of your business that you invest in yourself and your education. Invest in yourself and your education. Talk to people who can who can teach you, attend trainings, workshops and masterclasses... the masterclasses... the possibilities are endless and education is a process process that will never be completely finished.

Here are some examples of training we have invested in over the past 10 years. have:

  • I took a goldsmithing class where I learned the basics of making rings. You can see the result here & here
  • I took part in a photography workshop by Katja Heil to learn how to take more professional shots of our products. By the way, Katja also offers this course online and I can highly recommend it.
  • We have invested in training programs to educate ourselves in specific areas around running a jewelry business.
  • We have hired fantastic people to help us with their expertise in different areas such as copywriting, photo shoots for new collections and designing catalogs.

5. no false modesty!

Be proud of what you have created and dare to talk about it. That is one of the definitive of the things I've had to learn over time. But there are people who want to hear your personal story and learn from it - especially if you've especially if you've started your own business. I myself love to hear founder stories and life stories from people who have who have built something of their own. I find it incredibly inspiring.
