Birthstone March | AQUAMARINE

This month, the focus is on a gemstone that I personally can't get enough of. With its fascinating color spectrum ranging from delicate pastel to intense indigo blue, it lives up to its name, which derives from the Latin "aqua marina": "sea water". And just as the sea and the sound of waves has a calming effect when you let your gaze wander over it to the horizon, aquamarine is also said to have a calming effect and to have a positive impact on the body and soul of its wearer. It is even used to treat depression, is said to boost self-confidence and provide drive when depressed. Sailors used to often wear aquamarine amulets with the inscription "Poseidon" and firmly believed that it instills courage in their souls.

By the way, according to a legend, the aquamarine comes from a secret vault of the mermaids. If this is true, most mermaids probably live in Brazil, because most aquamarines come from this country. The largest ever found there weighed a whopping 111 kilos and is still considered one of the heaviest gemstones ever! Definitely too heavy for a necklace - but aquamarines are actually super suitable for statement jewelry, because they grow in the form of large, hexagonal crystals and are therefore a great eye-catcher even as a single gemstone on a chain.

What I like most about this gemstone, both personally and as a jewelry designer, is that it flatters every skin tone and matches every eye color. Whether it's your birthday in March or you just want to treat yourself, take a quick look here and discover the brand new, exclusive mini collection I've designed with aquamarine. There is always a reason for a new piece of jewelry with aquamarine, because it is said that it fills your life with more happiness and enthusiasm - and you can never have enough of that, can you?

In April you can look forward to a birthstone collection with the most famous and popular gemstone of all: the diamond! But for now, have fun with the new Aquamarine Mini Collection and happy March!
